This is Warehouse’s standard body, knitted on a vintage low-gauge knitting machine said to be even rarer than loopwheel machines. Made with No. 12 uneven yarn, the fabric features a unique texture with subtle horizontal variations known as a “shadow border.” Though technically solid-colored, the unevenness creates a faint, stripe-like appearance across the fabric. Instead of an extremely dropped, modern neckline, it uses ribbed piping to reinforce the neck. As you wear it over time, the neckline naturally relaxes and develops a gentle, worn-in drape.
