1960年代後期、ベトナム南部の都市 SOCTRANG（ソクチャン）に駐留していた米兵のカスタムオーダーによるもの。胸に虎と「福」の文字、背中にベトナムの地図を配したオーソドックスなデザインだが、袖の龍は他のベトジャンより一回り大きく、緻密に刺繍されているのが特徴。このエイジングモデルでは、経年変化により色味がフェードした生地や刺繍糸を再現。レーヨン混のコットンツイルに加工を加えており、しなやかな生地感やドレープ感が特徴で、新品時からヴィンテージさながらの風合いを楽しめる。

VIETNAM JACKET AGING MODEL

テーラー東洋が2022年からリリースしているベトナムジャケットのエイジングモデル。これまでアセテート生地のスカジャンでリリースしてきた「褪色による濃淡のエイジング」ではなく、ヴィンテージにみられる「素材感のエイジング」をテーマとしており、着用と経年によって生地や刺繍糸が全体的にフェードしたマットな風合いをリアルに再現している。

【 Lot No. TT15880-119 / Late 1960s Style Cotton Rayon Vietnam Jacket “VIETNAM MAP” (AGING MODEL) 】

This jacket is based on a custom-ordered piece worn by a U.S. soldier stationed in the southern Vietnamese city of SOCTRANG in the late 1960s. The orthodox design features a tiger and the character “Fuku” (fortune) embroidered on the chest, with a map of Vietnam embroidered across the back. A distinctive detail is the dragon embroidery on the sleeves, which is larger and more intricately stitched than those found on typical Vietnam jackets. This aging model faithfully reproduces the faded appearance of the fabric and embroidery threads caused by long-term wear and aging. The rayon-blended cotton twill has been specially processed to create a supple texture and natural drape, allowing you to enjoy an authentic vintage-like atmosphere from the very first wear.

VIETNAM JACKET AGING MODEL

An aging model of the Vietnam jacket released by Tailor Toyo since 2022. Rather than focusing on the “color fading and contrast aging” seen in their acetate souvenir jackets, this series is themed around the “aging of material texture” found in genuine vintage pieces. Through wear and time, the fabric and embroidery threads gradually fade, recreating the matte, timeworn appearance characteristic of original Vietnam jackets.
