This jacket is based on a custom-ordered piece worn by a U.S. soldier stationed there from 1966 to 1967. The orthodox Vietnam jacket design features a tiger and the character “Fuku” (fortune) embroidered on the chest, with a map of Vietnam across the back. Its distinctive layout places a message expressing the soldier’s sorrow and frustration toward the war above and below the map.
